The SBA 8(a) Business Development Program was established under Sections 7(j)(10) and 8(a) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. §§ 636(j)(10) and 637(a)) to support small, socially disadvantaged businesses. This program provides an invaluable platform for these businesses to compete for and receive set-aside and sole-source federal contracts, driving economic development and opportunity.
